FAQs
-
VoyagePT does not contract with insurance companies, and therefore does not accept insurance. We are an out-of-network provider, which means you will receive a superbill for all services rendered and may request reimbursement from your health insurance company. The reimbursement amount can vary depending on your insurance plan.
-
Superbills are detailed invoices created by healthcare providers. Superbills are provided after payment is made for families to submit to their health insurance company for reimbursement.
-
Healthcare providers can be either in-network or out-of-network. In-network providers have contracts with certain health insurance companies, whereas out-of-network providers do not. VoyagePT is an out-of-network provider and therefore can contribute to your out-of-network deductible, which varies depending on your personal health insurance plan.
-
More and more healthcare providers are becoming out-of-network providers due to the limitations of health insurance companies. These restrictions continue to cause delays in accessing healthcare, dictate the amount of visits you can have, significantly increase administrative time and therefore decrease the number of patients that can be cared for.
VoyagePT chooses to be an out-of-network provider in order to provide you with the most efficient, dependable, and highest quality care, which includes getting a physical therapy evaluation ASAP and having the frequency and duration of visits that you deserve.

Nope! Per CA Direct Access laws, a patient may receive PT services for 45 days or 12 visits (whichever comes first) before requiring a signed plan of care from a physician. VoyagePT will contact your pediatrician for this on your behalf. This allows our kiddos to be seen in a timely manner, therefore preventing delays in treatment and improving outcomes.
-
Insurance companies may need to verify that VoyagePT’s services are eligible for reimbursement and may request pre-authorization information. We are happy to provide this information when you contact us.

GGRC (Golden Gate Regional Center) supports families in Marin, SF, and San Mateo Counties with children who have developmental delays. If you are eligible, then GGRC may be able to pay for VoyagePT’s services on your behalf.
